Upgrade DBAAS Cloud Tooling using dbaascli

Check current version of cloud tooling:(as a root user)

[root@ociexavm-qsea1 ~]# rpm -qa|grep -i dbaastools

dbaastools_exa-1.0-1+20.4.1.3.0_210222.1922.x86_64

Check available updates:

[root@ociexavm-qsea1 ~]# dbaascli patch tools list

DBAAS CLI version 20.4.1.3.0

Executing command patch tools list

Checking Current tools on all nodes

ociexavm-qsea1: Patchid : 20.4.1.3.0_210222.1922

Available Patches

Patchid : 21.1.1.0.1_210313.2002

Patchid : 21.1.1.1.0_210401.1713

Install tools patch using

dbaascli patch tools apply --patchid 21.1.1.2.0_210518.1033    or

dbaascli patch tools apply --patchid LATEST

ociexavm-qsea2: Patchid : 20.4.1.3.0_210222.1922

Available Patches

Patchid : 21.1.1.0.1_210313.2002

Patchid : 21.1.1.1.0_210401.1713

Patchid : 21.1.1.1.0_210417.0831

Patchid : 21.1.1.2.0_210430.1005

Patchid : 21.1.1.2.0_210518.1033(LATEST)

Install tools patch using

dbaascli patch tools apply --patchid 21.1.1.2.0_210518.1033    or

dbaascli patch tools apply --patchid LATEST

All Nodes have the same tools version

Upgrade cloud tooling:

[root@ociexavm-qsea1]# dbaascli patch tools apply --patchid LATEST

DBAAS CLI version 20.4.1.3.0

Executing command patch tools apply --patchid LATEST

  Current tools version on ociexavm-qsea1: 20.4.1.3.0_210222.1922

Patchid to apply  LATEST 

   Updated dbaastools rpm to dbaastools_exa-1.0-1+21.1.1.2.0_210518.1033.x86_64

Current tools version on ociexavm-qsea2: 20.4.1.3.0_210222.1922

Patchid to apply  LATEST 

     Updated dbaastools rpm to dbaastools_exa-1.0-1+21.1.1.2.0_210518.1033.x86_64

     

Verify dbaastools version after upgrade     

[root@ociexavm-qsea1]# rpm -qa|grep -i dbaastools

dbaastools_exa-1.0-1+21.1.1.2.0_210518.1033.x86_64

if we are using latest version of dbaastools and trying to check for available updates it shows no patches available like below

[root@ociexavm-qsea1 exadbcpatch]# dbaascli patch tools list

DBAAS CLI version 21.1.1.2.0

Executing command patch tools list

Checking Current tools on all nodes

ociexavm-qsea1: Patchid : 21.1.1.2.0_210518.1033

No applicable tools patches are available
